Ten Years of Bim In The Undergraduate Architecture and Urbanism Program At The Federal University of Juiz de Fora: Achievements and Challenges of The Past, Present, and Future
This article explores the teaching of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in undergraduate courses in Architecture and Urbanism, with a particular focus on Brazil. Specifically, it examines the case of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. The central question addressed is: what achievements and challenges have emerged since the incorporation of BIM into this course? The main objective is to present the current state of BIM's integration, critically analyzing its past to inform present practices and future planning. This article is based on qualitative research that is both exploratory and descriptive, utilizing bibliographic research and a case study approach. In conclusion, it highlights two significant milestones in the integration of BIM into the curriculum: a curricular reform and the establishment of a BIM Cell, followed by a critical discussion of the paradigms introduced by these developments.
