Bim Technology As A Tool For Environmental Comfort Teaching: Artifacts Developed In An Implementation Experience
Aiming to incorporate Green BIM into architecture teaching, this paper intends to demonstrate how the use of BIM could help teach environmental comfort. To do so, the methodology of design science research was applied, evaluating a real situation of a 3rd-semester course, which addresses the issues of thermal comfort and climate evaluation. Three artifacts were created to assist in this implementation: a model, a workbook, and an instantiation. The research results include the development of the three artifacts, which presented important contributions to the performance of the analyses, especially about simulations of solar incidence and its impact on the openings and internal temperature of the buildings. The tool's graphical interface also contributed to a better understanding of climatic factors and data reading. The material developed has great potential to help not only undergraduate students but any professional who wishes to apply this method.
