Discovering Villa Tugendhat: An Immersive Visit With Virtual Reality
This work presents the use of Virtual Reality and Digital Fabrication to represent Villa Tugendhat through an immersive experience in the Exhibition Villa Tugendhat: a invenção do espaço fluido moderno. Using its digital representations and models produced with 3D printers, the audience can interact with the materiality of the building and the elements that constitute it, providing an interactive educational experience. The work involved the participation of a team formed by students and teachers from (omitted), which worked on two fronts: the first corresponds to the historical characterization of the building, while the second was involved in the production of the VR experience and the production of its model. This work concerns the use of technologies for teaching History of Architecture for it is possible for the audience to simulate the occupation of architectural spaces in different contexts.
