Manufacturing Worlds Interactive and Convergent Environments of Uruguayan Architectural Heritage

The project explores innovative methodologies for the digital preservation and conservation of Uruguayan architectural heritage. Utilizing advanced 3D scanning and aerial photogrammetry technologies, the project successfully generated detailed and accurate 3D models of ten significant heritage sites. The methodology involved precise data capture, processing, and transformation into interactive digital formats, culminating in the creation of a Metaverse platform. This interactive environment enables immersive exploration and educational engagement with the digital replicas of these historic sites. The project not only preserve architectural heritage digitally but also enhances public access, academic research, and educational opportunities. By integrating these models into Unreal Engine, the project sets a new standard for digital conservation, demonstrating the potential of technology to revolutionize the preservation and appreciation of cultural heritage
