Theory, Practice and Teaching: 3d Digital Dapping of Eclectic Architecture In São Carlos-Sp, Brazil
The article aims to present four educational actions on heritage documentation that took place at the Instituto de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo, which use digital mapping as a heritage documentation technique, through laser scanning and photogrammetry. Although these techniques have been used internationally for more than two decades, there is still a gap in professional training and qualification in Brazil. Thus, the aim is to disseminate these technological tools in education for the training of students and professionals, given the growing demand for digital mapping in conservation, restoration and urban planning projects. Thus, the research has two objectives: to disseminate the methods of 3D digital mapping technologies in undergraduate and graduate education, through the contribution of experiences from educational actions and the actions themselves, which is the documentation of the eclectic architectural heritage of São Carlos for a general public.
